Rooted on land built by pioneer Black female contractor Katherine Elizabeth Harris in 1925, Solaris is a living declaration of historical reclamation and restorative peace. We kept the home’s original sunken conversation pit as the heart of the space, wrapping it in rich fluted wood, warm amber tones, and 1970s-inspired textures. Designed as a friction-free container where guests can drop their armor and step out of survival mode, Solaris brings together movement, sound, touch, and nourishment—featuring a full kitchen and cafe area for adaptogenic teas, dedicated spaces for yoga, meditation, massage, sauna recovery, and a vinyl listening lounge. Sharing a lot with our neighboring Villa Oasis estate, Solaris seamlessly expands to host multi-day, overnight retreats and large group gatherings. Every inch was curated with deep intention, creating an unhurried home to breathe, reconnect, and simply be.
